Hi! We are Web Weekend Kathmandu (WWKTM).

WWKTM started as a community of people in Kathmandu who liked technology, liked learning from each other, and wanted better spaces to talk about what we were building, experimenting with, and struggling through. Over the years, that’s taken many forms.

We’ve organized monthly meetups on a wide range of topics, from engineering and product to design, marketing, and everything in between. We’ve hosted unconferences (BarCamps), panels, and conversations that were intentionally broad, because we believe some of the best learning happens at the intersections.

From time to time, we also organize larger events and conferences. AI Conf 2026 is one example of that. Our goal with these events has always been the same: create thoughtful, practitioner-focused spaces that are community-driven, company-agnostic, and grounded in local context.

What this Substack is

This Substack is an extension of that same idea.

Going forward, we plan to use this space for occasional, mostly monthly updates from WWKTM. Think of it as a lightweight digest rather than a news feed. Posts here may include:

  • Things we’ve been learning or thinking about in AI and technology that month

  • Recommended reading, talks, tools, or ideas we found useful

  • Highlights and takeaways from conversations happening in the WWKTM community

  • A short writeup about that month’s Tech Kura Kani (our monthly meetup)

Sometimes we’ll also use this space to share behind-the-scenes notes from events, reflections on what worked (and what didn’t), and updates on what we’re planning next.

This isn’t meant to be hype-driven or overly polished. The goal is to share things we genuinely find interesting and worth passing along.
